A Better Pipe Smoking Community

Well, its now day 2 of me being off because of Hurricane Alex and I'm already bored to death.
Thankfully it made landfall well south of where I live, though we have been dodging a lot of wind and bad rain, and a tornado or two.
Ive had plenty of time to sit around and watch movies, eat, sleep, and watch the kids fight and tear up the house.
Starting this lovely day off with EMP in a Jake Hackert nosewarmer. Lots of hot coffee on the side.

Editing my original post as it sounded a bit negative towards the seller, and I certainly didnt mean it that way. Anywho.....Won this little beauty tonight and would like to know some more info on it. Cant really make out any markings on the pipe itself, and would like some feedback from people who are familiar with the Ser jacopo line.

Hey all. I have a pipe that I would like to re-stain, and am not all too sure of how to go about doing it. First off, what do you use to remove the existing stain? Do you sand it down to bare wood, or use a chemical remover?
Also, once I have applied the new stain, what should I seal it with?

I'm really trying to get into smoking flake tobacco. At the moment I have 6 different unopened tins of various blends that I want to try. Problem is I'm really not clear on what size/shape of pipe would best suit a flake tobacco.

I know there are quite a few of you here who smoke a lot of flake tobacco, so please feel free to chime in and offer up some advice to a flake newb.

Well, its been a good long while since Ive invested in any tobacco. I almost gave it all up a few months ago, but just couldnt quite do it... I think I lasted 2 months then was right back in it again.
At any rate, I finally succumbed to the largest TAD attack Ive had in over a year. Everything on this list is new to me with the exception of Mac B Navy Flake, and Squadron Leader.
Here is what I settled on:

C&D Green River Vanilla 2oz
C&D Epiphany 2oz
C&D Exhausted Rooster 2oz
GL Pease Chelsea Morning 2oz
GL Pease Haddo's Delight 2oz
SG FVF 50g
SG Squadron Leader 50g

Morning all.

Its a cool one here in South Texas, expecting sunny skies later in the day which is something we have seen little of recently. The plan is to continue the remodeling work in the kid's bathroom today. Doesnt seem like we've made much progress on that in a good long while.
