Morning MPC. My, did I ever oversleep! I put it down to Mrs. M working a 2h00 night though - poor girl. Well, it's still pouring with rain & cold enough to run the heaters. If global warming is about changes in the weather patterns, I guess we've got it. I understand that we've even had some snow on the mountains. And since I'm heading off to those mountains next week, I have a more-than-passing interest in the state of play there. Right now I have coffee to contemplate & SG FVF in a GBD to lend a contemplative frame of mind. Enjoy some fine smokes today.

Morning Mike and MPC

Nice sunny fall day in Denmark as high as 11C today, smoking some #222 Flake(Paul Olsen) in a Bjarne Bent Dublin, black coffee on the side. Enjoy your day gents.

Cool Start to the Day

The weather is cool and it's still dark outside at 0550 this morning. The day should warm up nicely as the sun comes out. Then it's off to the back porch for some MVF in a pipe yet to be chosen from my growing collection. I am up to 6 now. One more and I can have a daily rotation. Although I am not sure my infrequent smoking would require that. Some days I just can't find the time or the place to really relax and enjoy a bowl as I would like. Also with the cold weather of winter approaching, my tolerance for outdoor smoking will decrease. Looking forward to a wonderful and productive day with work projects and a beautiful warm fall day here in the midwest. Pleasant bowls to all this fine Friday.

Savor the Day!

Morning gents...

Cool here in WNY as well, and still a bit on the soggy side. Yet another day of no work, so I will likely head to the shop for a little relax time and maybe some work on a pipe.

Brewed up a cup of coffee and browsing my tobacco for what to smoke. Might just pack a bowl of SWR Aro this am. I intend on taking some of this tobacco to the shop and see if I can temper it with a bit of white burley. I think it will give it a bit more richness and take the edge off of the aromatic properties, at least in the taste category.

Vintage Virginia in a cob on

Vintage Virginia in a cob on the way to work.

Back to the woods tis week end for deer season. Will be using my .54 caliber blackpowder rifle. It's sure fun to shoot that gun and see all of the smoke.

is in hybernation mode.

Dreary and cool, almost cold here in Pittsburgh

A damp coolness begging for a nice bowl of a heavy English. However, I already began day at 4:30 AM EST with some Escudo in a very narrow Danish pipe (name of which escapes me.. ). Now, after breaking fast, some nice McClelland Grand Oriental Classic Samsun in my Barling saddle pot. This complements the earlier Escudo quite nicely.
Carry on gents..and ladies.

friday!

I am jealous of you guys able to finish up deer season. Issues at the office threw a monkey wrench in my plans for the next two months and I don't know when I'll even be able to retrieve my tree stand. Fortunately it is on some friends' property. Bummer though, I was tracking a good sized animal and had a good chance of getting it.

Last night was able to see a short smoke of CBB. We'll see what tonight brings, got another show after work.

is flying on most weekends.

Wisconsin needs snow for skiing!

Started the day with Heritage and will now puff on Captain Bob's Blend. Have Pot O' Gold along as well and three pipes. Enjoy your smokes, everyone!

Drop Dead Gorgeous in So-Cal

Overslept and had to stop by 7/11 for coffee on the way to the courts this morning. Worked the Trout Stream too hard on the twenty minute drive there and almost ruined the smoke. Thought the day was going to be evil, but surprize!, so far everything is fantastic. Wall Street in a pete Killarney B10 before what I hope is a really slow night at work.
I'm so jealous of you all who get to hunt. Not even bird for me this year. I feel like taking a frozen turkey out to the backyard and putting a load of no4 in it. Good luck to anyone going afield.
Enjoy all,
Bob

cool & rainy

Well, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire in my pipe is so delightful! GL Pease Maltese Falcon in the Danbark poker with a thumb of the Glenlivet on the side, neat. That'll warm ya up! Smoke easy, gentlemen!

Bob

Hehe, pretty funny.

That would probably be cheaper than going the full hunting route.
