Afternoon all. Hellishly hot with a chance of showers later. Just finishing up a bowl of OGS in my ckr billiard. Great combination. Think it might be FVF in a GBD a little later. One of the joys of working at home is that I can smoke at will. The downside is I smoke a lot! Not that I'm complaining. Been a full day so far. Now need to get some work done on the budget for this year. Enjoy those pipes today.
Is yur calendar missing the Monday column, Muddler? Or are you just trying to get the jump on the rest of the world?
Half an inch of white and fluffy on the windshield this morning as I drove to work smoking And So To bed in a Jobey bent bulldog.
Congratulations to the NOSaints on pulling three plays out of their nether regions to beat a superior team. How you can beat a team by never putting any pressure on their quarterback is a revelation to me. (Sorry to bore you Europeans and SA-ers with such droll conversation.)
Happy puffin' to you all!
Just call me Kurt. Just call the dog Hannah. (Call her whatever you want, she won't come anyway.)

It's okay. I have no clue what you're talking about either and I am in Indiana, surrounded by Colts freaks.
Long day at the music store today, 10-8. Hopefully I sell enough to make it worth it. More than likely no smokes, there's no time.
Well, time to get the day started. Y'all take care.
Good morning MPC. I am getting ready for another snow storm tomorrow, global warming my ass. I am smoking a Pete with some TF Heritage. I got a nice tobacco order on it's way from C&D, I hope it arrives today. Everyone have a great day.
Actually I know what you're talking about, I heard that the Saints wan the Superbowl.
I only know that because this morning, on the radio, I heard some news about the Portuguese League (LOL) and they talked about the superbowl, of course.
Traffic was an abomination this morning, almost 2 hours commuting time... :-(
The smoke was SG 1792 on the Aldo Velani lovat

He he - sorry about the Tuesday - I changed it. Guess that's what happens when you work the weekend. Sounds like lots of snow - it's hot enough here for me to envy you! Smoking Union Square in a little GBD bulldog as I come to terms with what day of the week it really is.
Just finished my GDT bedtime Penzance smoke from last night. News of another storm approaching makes me want to hibernate until Spring thaw. Vasco Vermont is looking better and better these days. Traffic in South Africa, traffic in Portugal and traffic on Long Island. There has got to be a better way to live life. A trip to work should never be two hours in traffic. I have to run errands this morning and place a TAD order along the way. Enjoy your smokes!
A pipe (or two, or three) a day keeps a guy comfortable and life in perspective.

to all. Another "wonderful" day on the West coast. Cloudy, drizzly and not very warm. Been at work since 0500 and am beginning to feel it ;) yawnnnnnnnnnn.....
Just had a puff of McC 2015 in Stanwell Brazilia, sip of coffee and in 18 minutes back on active duty..... .
Have a great day everyone.
Aging is mandatory, maturing is optional.
I was refering to
1-3rd quarter onside kick that was FUMBLED by the Colts (it would have put the Colts in prime scoring position) that turned into a touchdown by the Saints.
2- a 2point conversion that was denied and overturned by the refs (and justifyably so) that was the turning point of the game as it meant the Colts couldn't score and win, they could only score and tie.
3- an interception that the Saints turned into an extra touchdown (superflous as it turns out).
Also most of the game the saints left the opposing QB to pass at his liesure with very little pressure from the defending linesmen.
Don't get me wrong, I was pulling for the saints. I just don't think they deserved to win by that margin. Not the way they played.
Oh well, "any given Sunday" I suppose.
Just call me Kurt. Just call the dog Hannah. (Call her whatever you want, she won't come anyway.)

Elbow is killing me and I'll be taking a couple of days off the courts. Wife is one happy camper with the Saint's win. I just wanted to watch some good football and a few hilarious commercials while pigging out all day.
Back to realityville with the pain and responsibilties. Fresh coffee with some Retriever in a KE freehand. TAD/PAD order due before I go to work, so there is something to look forward to.
Enjoy all,
I take no honor in being wrong, I am what I am...Bob/Popeye circa1959
chilling out this evning with some NavyFlake in my DB billiard!!! and glass of Budweisser, but Czech one!!
:-)
The day started off with Engine 99 and a side of Eight O"clock coffee. So far it looks like Nording's Retriever for the drive home and then who knows what after I get there.
I grabbed my pipe made of corn, and gently filled it with a blend consisting of equal parts McClellend MP27, McClelland Take 6, and Carter Hall.
So the new regular of a cherry blend in the corn cob.
Mostly the weather is just chilly outside, and I don't want to use my nice pipes and nice tobacco just incase I end up not finishing, or smoking to fast. I really don't want to burn out another pipe, so if I ruin this cob, I am only out six dollars.
But a delightful smoke none the less.
Big plans this evening of another pot of coffee, and some PBR a little bit later.
Happy smoking
Now that reads like the start I only wish I had today. Another smokeless day as I do battle with the crud-monster. I have even resorted to sucking on an empty pipe just to catch a taste...
Left work last night after only 3 hours not feeling well at all. Then it took over an hour to drive 14 miles home (on interstate). Roads were/are just that bad. Following 3 PennDot snowplows, 3 salt trucks and a rear pace truck traffic crawled along at 10 mph or so. Thought I'd give in and light up. Mistake. Hence, no 'baccy today. Bummer.
Happiness is a warm pipe.
I was smoking it last night and my neighbor came out to ask me what it was that is on fire. I guess thats why it's called Engine 99.
Had a pretty damn good day today. The missus and I spent it in town at various shopping stores. I even got to go into the local B&M, because I behaved, and scored about 6.5 ounces of PS Luxury Bullseye Flake. That is one blend I have been dying to try, and it has definitely lived up to my expectations.
I also found a full 16 ounces of C&D Green River Vanilla for $3 an ounce. I'm going to go back without the missus tomorrow and buy most if not all of it.
:)
Got home this evening and found that the dogs had chewed through the telephone cable that runs about a foot off the ground along the outside of the house. I'm going to take a guess that the previous owners never owned dogs.
After some sputtering and a couple of foul words here and there, I managed to re-wire from the junction box to the kitchen. Some 50 odd foot of wire.
As you can see it was a success. I suppose all's well that ends well.
Have a good night. I know I will. Settling in with some PS Luxury Bullseye Flake and an Irish Coffee or 3.
He that can have patience can have what he will.

Yes, from time to time.
In other news, I am still working 6 days a week even though it is between two jobs. Thankful to have them, wished they were what I really wanted to do with my life.
Bah.

Hmmmm....Mavrodaphne (Black Daphne), haven't tasted it in years. Used to be my sippin' stuff for chess games...along with smoke from my pipe, of course.
Server has been a pain lately.
Happiness is a warm pipe.
First time on in about two weeks. Getting snow in central Illinois, don’t think were going to get what they say were going to get. Got a new Erik Nording pipe, smoking it now with some 1Q with Latakia mixed in. next time I’ll get more Latakia in the blend, but its still good. Hope everyone is staying warm or cool where ever you may be.
Hay Muddler how bout us send us some of that heat and we’ll send you some cold to even things out.
Hope to have one more smoke before bed with a cup of hot tea.
May your heart and pipe be full of goodness.
Scott
Damn, Bob, when you get hammered, you really do the job well!
