If you care to read my review of Squadron Leader it is at this location:

A delightful medium English and I enjoy it very much!
to plug my own blend, just pointing out they are not similar even though the logo theme is similar. I have edited my review to eliminate the reference to CBB.
Please don't write me out of your will.
Wait until after the 1st Kg... :-)
I wish that my palate had enough resolution to analyze this blend, I'd love to know what kinds of VAs, what kind of Orientals... :-)
At this level of quality, all that meter is the equilibrium, and SL is probably THE medium english mixture.
And then, there's SL younger brother, Skiff mixture, I haven't smoked much of this one, it looks like a diluted SL, still good but not THAT good. So far, in the light english field I vote for Synjeco's Wenti Blend.
How does it fair when compared to this GLPease blend? Deciding which to order tomorrow morning!
Has more of a Latakia taste IMO and it is a matter of what you are in the mood for. It seems as though I am the only one who thinks Skiff is stronger in flavor than Squadron Leader. It's all Good
Skiff and Westminster have not come to me yet. When I got serious with the pipe almost two years ago I lucked into buying 8oz of the stuff. It's still my fav English, although, yes, a medium strength. I love the depth and sophistication I taste with this tobacco. More than just a stronger FMOTT, it could be a daily English for me if it weren't so darned expensive. I try not to analyze too much, (that helps if you're not smart) and really enjoy what I like. I really like SL.
As far as plugging, if I were capable of creating a great blend, I'd tell every pipe smoker I saw on the street about it, everyday. I'm not, so I just smoke what I like. Bob, we here know, and I really appreciate your contribution and insight. I'm sure that no rankle was intended, but CBB is truly 'good, unique weed'.
Pack'em an' light'em folks,
(Of plugging your own blend).LOL
Just call me Kurt. Just call the dog Hannah. (Call her whatever you want, she won't come anyway. Hold it, she now comes on occasion)
