Good morning MPC,
Just finished a bowl of SG Skiff mixture on a Zeman Lat 41, North Wind.
It was flea market day, and I got more 4 state pipes, one of them is a real beauty, a Barling's Canadian with very nice grain and in excellent condition. I'll post some pictures later.
I think that the Portuguese 2nd hand market is very different from ebay. Most of the pipes I find here or are Petersons or BBB or are from totally unknown makers, I never saw a high-end pipe being sold here, on the other hand, no-names are unusual.
According to the guy who sold me the pipes today, there are no recent pipes in the market, about all comes from grandchildren selling grandfather's pipes, it may be true, so far, all the pipes I bought here looked like not to have been smoked in decades.
Looks like its going to be another perfect day here in South Texas, with temps hovering right around 70F by the time its all said and done. 4 straight days of beautiful weather.....very much out of the norm for this area, but well enjoyed nonetheless.
Starting it all off with a bowl of Mac B Plumcake in a no-name bent Italy. Hot coffee on the side.
Aristokles, Ive been perusing ebay myself this morning and have 5 items in my watching list. Like you, I may not even bid on any of them. Never can tell with ebay...ive seen some auctions get totally ridiculous in regards to price lately.
Have a good one
Snow is melting, Engine in a Bradberry Bulldog, and great meals scheduled for this weekend day. Pipes to be cleaned, Hoppes for some pieces to be cleaned, and bathrooms needing some attention. Sounds like Bob B and I have similar agendas. Oh well, overall it's a piss, poop and great to be alive day. Reserving one of my larger bowls for Penzance enjoyment tonight. I'll have to check out e-bay and see what you guys are looking at. Grand smokes all around!
Best to each of you.
SWR in a Mastro bent with mugs of Yuban on the side.
Continuing the breakin of the Aran 306. Some IRC Gourmet English with some tea. Have a cold, may be my last bowl of the day.
Nice, lovely So-Cal day here. Big difference from the soaking yesterday. It's going to be a lazy, recuperation event with the dogs, the pipes and the big screen.
Trout Stream in a pete dubby and a Digiorno in the oven for brunch. Happy Bob, dogs and Grey.
Just got back from a junk shop/flea market run with the wife. Ended up scoring some good deals in the process.
Here is what I picked up:
Peterson Donegal 800 with sterling silver band - rusticated straight billiard
Peterson Kildare - slightly bent smooth apple
Castello Sea Rock - slightly bent Dublin
All are in excellent shape, with the exception of the Castello which is completely bitten through on the stem. I paid $15 for each of the Petes, and $5 for the Castello. Nice find I think. Going to get em cleaned up, and send off the Castello to be refitted for a new stem.

The local flea market here never has pipes worth looking at twice, pure junque and overpriced at that.
Today's Menu:
Green River Vanilla and Gentleman Callers (drive to the hill)
Captain Bob's Blend (three bowls on the slopes)
Pot O' Gold (on the drive home)
Squadron Leader (courtesy of BobB with a Rum on the rocks at home)
Enjoy your evening, everyone!
Just got back from the NASCAR Race here in Vegas. Row 71 Seat 20 in the PT section (Petty Terrace). I am not a huge fan but I do go once a year to this event and enjoy the day. Did anyone attend from this site?
I am on a McC kick, so today I had Blackwoods Flake and later Blakeney's Best Bayou Slice in a GBD Rhoddy. Both tobacco's are worth the 4 stars in my opinion especially with some age on them. Tonight it will be the Three Oak Syrian in a 4Dot Sasieni which is a new tobacco for me.
I am still getting a long pink warning at the beginning of the threads, I honestly don't know what that is, can someone explain. Thanks in advance
Me too. You on a Mac? It's coming up in both Firefox and Chrome for me...
Last bowl of the day. Started the day off with Brazos King is a straight ckr billiard. Moved onto some Scottish Cake in my XL02...had to "age" it due to work commitments. Finished the bowl and had a bowl of Stokkebye's Balkan Supreme in my 306 while watching Ghostbusters II. Now just perusing the net before watching some Granada Holmes.

No I am not on Mac, it has been doing this for a couple of weeks now at least. I guess it's not a big deal but I am curious as to the reason for it.
This is a server side problem, and is not triggered by the client OS or browser.
This is what I think it's happening. http://my-pipes.net/content/good-morning-everyone#comment-14840
as I just finish my first bowl today of C&D Plantation Evening pursuant to writing a review soon for TR, that with a cup of tea. This blend is definitely not what I was expecting from prior reviews or from C&D's own description, for that matter.
I am also culling some EBay listings myself this morning - something I do regularly as I still seek to replace my "lost" collection of twenty years ago. However, my Ebay acquisitions to date of pipes have been somewhat mixed experiences and I'm very picky even when I find a copy of an old friend. I'm looking at 6 now, but may not bid on any.
Now for some coffee and another smoke as I prepare mentally for a long week at work starting at 6 tonight.
Only about 6 more inches of sn*w to break all time season record here. Get it over with...
Happiness is a warm pipe.
