Starting the day with coffee and a bowl of Old Joe Krantz. I smoked Ennerdale flake in this pipe back in 2008, and there is a strange background taste of artificial sweetness lingering still. and not even old Joe manages to kill this off. I should've listened to Rick Piatt regarding that leaf.

I have cleaned this pipe with vodka, I have reamed it, I have smoked ¤#%&¤ strong burley (like 5 bros) and VA ropes in it... the ghost remains, it lingers, it rattles its chains...

Eh. Shortcut To Mushrooms in a BP Jum stubby nosewarmer. Hot coffee on the side. House is still quiet for the time being.

The same happened to me when I started this days thread, and when I tried to start yesterdays thread as well. today I persisted a bit more.

For some reason

the web in general has been really sluggish for the last day or so--maybe all those graduating HS students trying out their new laptops? Just had a wonderful bowl of Reiner's Long Golden Flake in a Nachwalter bent apple. Dunno what's up next. Happy fathers day to those who have or are one.

happy father's day to all the fathers

out there and especially in the MPC community. 08:20 PST, at work, half way through the first smoke and first coffee.
Getting mentally ready for what is shaping up to be a busy day. The good news is that after work I can enjoy being pampered at home by the kids (hopefully). The more good news is that tomorrow I get to spend the day at the range rather than the office.

Last night was son’s b-day – spent the afternoon at the laser tag war zone. It was kind of fun, but did I ever get a headache from all the noise!!!!!!!!! All the kids running and screaming!!!! One thing was pretty clear – stealth is not their strong point. The only annoying part of the afternoon was to have some little kid follow you through the course and keep shooting at you. Line, really, kid – how many times do you have to kill me to feel good about yourself? But, WTH, my son had fun and that was the objective of the exercise. Afterwards, pizza and ice cream cake at home, presents and the craze they cause, and than, finally about 22:15, peace and quiet.

Nothing special to report on other that the fact that based on the few soccer matches that I have seen, the level of play and the level of refereeing at this World Cup is so low that the whole thing is rather disappointing.

Have a great day every one and enjoy your smokes….. .

Happy fathers day!

Waiting for the brood to show up from here and there. To pass the time, Edgeworth RR'd in a Kaywoodie Shellcraft and Starbucks Komodo Dragon on the side.

Back after an exhausting (&

Back after an exhausting (& very cold) hunting trip where luck evaded me completely. I did manage to return with 20 kgs of rump steak from my beef farmer mate though. I'm smoking some OGS in a Pete Supreme 1s right now. Enjoy your evening pipes.

Ah, Mike's back

Welcome back Mike. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Strange thing is I just spoke to a buddy of mine which had the same experience. He left here last week Thursday on a hunting trip in Thabazimbi and also came back empty handed. Not even the steak. I guess shit happens. Thanks for the tip on Brooklyn tabac. I found the experience rather enjoyable compared to the so called "tobacconists" in my neck of the woods.

Brooklyn special in the Ollie bulldog before I'm off to bed.

Ditto on the Access, Eric

Got off on my eight hours early today and decided to spend part of the OT at Cosctco. Their Kirkland Anejo tequila is quite nice and $21US right now, great cold on the rocks.

Lovely SoCal day heading for the low 80's. I was too numb to work a bowl in on the ride to work this morning, (Lord, what a sad excuse for a pipe smoker). Managed half a bowl of Retriever in my Stanwell poker between events and hauled butt to Costco and then home. 2015 in the new Pete Shannon 150 and an oilcan.

Yipee!, the 50" plasma in the living room has its little line running down the screen again. Unyipee, after replacing the 37" in the bedroom, it'll have to hang in a couple of months before the 55" LCD comes home.

Sorry about getting zeroed Mike, most of us have had it happen and I'm sure its not your first time. Still, being with great people out there beats the hell out of watching tv. On another note, here, we're trying to get into the World Cup spirit, I know very few who are and I'm one. Kudo's for all that they've done for the event though.

Happy Father's Day to all. My son, (Finn the Labrador Retriever) celebrated by curling up on my pillow and hogging my wifes arm the minute my feet swung off the bed. I knew my place, out the door to make things nice.

Gonna find more tobacco that go with oilcans, enjoy all,

Afternoon guys,

A busy week, and a busier weekend to boot. Going out to run some errands, but I have a peterson bent brandy and a pouch of butternut burley to keep me company. Hope your doing well, and I will post more later.

Happy smoking

Just a point to make here...

... Mike, a poor hunting day is still better than a good day at work!

Hey everybody

I got a bowl of bulls eye flake in earlier today but that's about it so far. Yesterday I was able to go fishing in the morning then spent the rest of the day cleaning the living room and stacking wood. Today it's been errands, Tigers baseball game and then cleaning the kitchen and bathroom. Yuck, I hate cleaning!! Hey, the job has to be done though right?
